We ensure that .99 of every dollar collected goes directly to support Veterans in the outdoors. The ONLY overhead items we maintain are this website and the associated “contact” email address. That’s it! No paid positions, no consultants or contracted services, nothing but Veterans serving Veterans.
Annual Goal: $600
First of our three programs, our HUNTING program centers around waterfowl hunting because of the group based environment it provides. This takes the form of a three day, two night event centered around a full service lodge with chef prepared meals and other amazing amenities. Each of these trips the Veterans are provided shotguns, ammunition, and all other items required for them to be comfortable, safe, and successful. For these trips we only source world class outfitters and lodges.
Annual Goal: $45,000
Our second program is FISHING. Like waterfowl hunting, fishing is a group activity and we typically see around 5 Veterans together per boat. Fishing, also like waterfowl hunting is filled with long stretches of calm typically consumed in conversation...and then BAM! A quick moment of action and excitement. For our FISHING program, we only source professional and certified world class captains!
Annual Goal: $10,000
Our third program is our SOCIAL Program. Consisting of craft beer festivals, concerts, food events and feasts; our social program typically supports 10 Veterans per event.
Annual Goal: $5,000
Today, GuideStar is a service of Candid. The GuideStar database contains a profile for every tax-exempt nonprofit registered with the IRS. The profiles are populated with information directly from nonprofits, the IRS, and other partners in the nonprofit sector. Candid encourages every nonprofit to claim and update its profile at no cost to the organization. Updating allows nonprofits to share a wealth of up-to-date information with the more than 13 million people who visit guidestar.org to learn more about nonprofit organizations each year. Updating also allows nonprofits to share information with the more than 200 philanthropic websites and applications that are powered by GuideStar data, such as AmazonSmile, Facebook, and Network for Good. To reach a given participation level, organizations must complete all required fields for that level. The GuideStar participation levels, acknowledged as symbols of transparency in the nonprofit sector, are displayed on all updated participants' profiles in the GuideStar database.
